Long Service colleagues celebrate with a day at the races

Congratulations to all our Long Service colleagues who enjoyed a fun filled day at York Racecourse, celebrating their 25, 40 and 45 years milestones on Friday 8 July.

Guests enjoyed the best of what York had to offer, including fine dining, exclusive access to the Parade Ring and not to mention watching some world class horse racing. Some of our guests even had the pleasure of presenting the trophy to the winning connections of the day!

In the 'William Hill Summer Stakes' race, Peter Wilde, a Customer Experience Manager celebrating 40 years of service with William Hill, presented winning jockey Sylvester De Sousa with his prize.

Peter said: "I can't believe how fortunate I was to be able to be involved in representing William Hill in the 2:40 race, and judging 'Best Turned Out'. It was sublime! I've never been in the parade ring before, so I was like a kid in a candy shop. I had the privilege of presenting Silvestre De Sousa his award; he's always been one of my favourite riders and was a true gentleman. I was also introduced to Peter and Mick Easterby. The whole experience was one I will never forget."
