City Manager Shawnna Maltbie Announces Retirement Plans

After more than 17 years of dedicated service to the Daly City community, City Manager Shawnna Maltbie has announced plans to retire on November 1, 2022. She served as the City's Director of Human Resources for over 11 years, before being appointed as the City Manager in January 2019. During her tenure as the City Manager, she successfully implemented long term strategic planning and led the organization during unprecedented challenges. Serving the Daly City community and leading the amazing workforce has been one of the greatest honors of her professional life. She looks forward to spending more time with her family (and dogs!). Shawnna will be greatly missed and the City wishes her all the best in her retirement.

The City will conduct a recruitment in preparation for the upcoming vacancy.
