CRAFT RESOURCES at the Lewiston City Library

Learn about the art of crafting.

Written by Zanna Schultz, Library Assistant

Do you consider yourself a seasoned crafter and are looking for inspiration? Are you just getting started in the world of craftiness? Or is there a creative skill or hobby you have secretly always wanted to try? The Lewiston City Library is a great place to start, no matter what level you are or what kind of project you want to dabble in. There's no time like the present to jump in!

In the Adult Non-Fiction section, on the first floor, we have a whole section of craft books. These focus on all types of mediums, including, but not limited to: pottery, quilting, woodworking, needlework (crochet, embroidery, and knitting), weaving, metal working, scrapbooking, and flower arranging.

If you enjoy scrapbooking and other forms of papercrafting, look no further than Craft the Rainbowby Brittany Watson Jepson. Want something more eco-friendly, peruse titles such as Eco-craft by Susan Wasinger, Eco Colourby India Flint, or Sticky Fingersby Sophie Maletsky.

The Lewiston City Library also has crafting projects that will tickle your inner fangirl/boy with such titles as The Unofficial Guide to Crafting the World of Harry Potterby Jamie Harrington or The Lego Ideas Bookby Daniel Lipkowtiz.
