President Ghani addresses the ceremony of Kandahar Agricultural Complex

President Ashraf Ghani virtually addressed a ceremony on laying the foundation of Kandahar agricultural complex, this morning.
Dr. Anwarul Haq Ahadi, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock in his remarks congratulated President Ghani and all the people. He added that the president stressed the completion of the value chain for economic development and called it a good example of the value chain.
Hashmatullah Ghafoori, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, said the Kandahar Agricultural Complex is worth of 100 million dollars which will be built on 1100 acres of land in six phases at Aino Mena industrial park.
Rohullah Khanzada, Governor of Kandahar and Hashmatullah Ghafoori then laid the foundation stone of the complex, as instructed by the President.
President Ghani congratulated Mr. Saeed, Wazirzai, investors, and all the people. The private sector which has invested in difficult conditions has a common language of growth and prosperity. They are the guardians of the country's economy and our pride like the security and defense forces, he added.
President Ghani said that Mr, Ghafoori and Wazirzai, the builders of the Kandahar Agricultural Complex, would be awarded medals. Anyone who invests more than 50 million dollars, their name will be inscribed as builders on the monument at the president's office, he added.
President Ghani said that the Economic High Council would discuss economic issues in each zone of the country and similar complexes would be built in other zones as well. He stressed that there must be practical solutions to the existing problems and that the challenges and obstacles to investment are not acceptable.
President Ghani articulated that based on a clear plan, money should be converted into capital and the income of farmers, gardeners and all should be increased substantially. Work on water management and land corridors continues, he added.
'Investments are being made in Kandahar airport, but share your specific proposals in this regard,' said the President. TAPI and TAP projects will make great changes in Kandahar, he added.
