The Clerk-Recorder's Office is partnering with Cuesta College to offer a unique summer internship opportunity. Interested students should send their cover letter, resume, and a brief personal statement via email by May 17, 2024.

Cuesta College is offering its students a chance to work in local government during a key time: the months leading up to the 2024 General Election. The role will feature hands-on learning opportunities in election planning, community outreach, and document development, among other things. It will also provide the selected applicant the chance to see at least one substantial project through to completion.

While the internship is planned for the summer months, the specific start and end date are flexible, and the internship itself could be extended into the fall if all parties agree. It will require the participant to work on site in the Katcho Achadjian County Government Center in San Luis Obispo for 8-10 hours per week.

The internship, which is offered by the Clerk-Recorder's Office in collaboration with Cuesta College, is open to any student currently enrolled at Cuesta. Students studying or interested in Political Science, Public Administration, or related fields are encouraged to apply, and details can be found here.
