On March 18 in Yalta, policemen, who carried out public order protection on the Lenin Seaside promenade, received a message about the fall of an unknown man into the sea.
An officer of the subdivision for guarding and convoying suspects and defendants of the MIA of Russia Administration for the city of Yalta, Police Sergeant Viktor Fedorov, without hesitation, jumped into the cold water and managed to pull the sinking citizen ashore. The 52-year-old local resident was taken to the hospital in a coma, later he recovered, and at the moment his life is in no danger.
'The policeman in an extreme situation showed courage and dedication, which saved a human life,' added Irina Volk.
