Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Fred Keller (PA-12) released the following statement in response to the Supreme Court's decision in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen, striking down a New York state law restricting concealed carry permitting outside of the home:

"Last July, I joined more than 170 of my House Republican colleagues in signing on to the NYSRPA v. Bruen Supreme Court Amicus Briefto advocate for law-abiding Americans' Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms for self-protection. I'm glad that the Supreme Court agreed with our position and has now made it clear to liberal states that the only justification that any law-abiding American citizen needs to carry, purchase, or own a firearm is the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. While today's decision is a win for freedom and individual liberty, we must continue to advocate for and safeguard all of our rights enshrined in our Constitution and paid for by the sacrifices of our servicemembers."
