Medicover Hospitals drives massive vaccination campaign at Hitex, Hyderabad

The second Covid-19 wave has hit India with full force with high infection rates. Medicover operates 20 hospitals and 12 fertility clinics in India. A large part of Medicover Hospitals care has been to treat Covid-19 patients during the second wave and since recently also contribute to vaccination of the people.

On 6 June a one-day massive vaccination drive took place in Hitex, Hyderabad. Over 1,650 nursing, doctors and administration staff enabled 300 vaccinations stations and vaccinated 35,500 people during the day. It was a swift paperless procedure with online registrations only and from entry to exit it took 5 minutes per person. Social distancing was observed, and strict protocols were followed.

'Vaccination has proven to be effective in combating the pandemic in many countries. Since we are hugely populated, it is necessary to conduct such mass vaccination drives to cover the maximum population. Our aim is to vaccinate 3 million people in the coming weeks', says Hari Krishna, Executive Director Medicover Hospitals.

'I'm extremely proud of our employees that conducted this massive vaccination drive in such a successful way and a special thanks to VC Sajjanar Commissioner of Police for his contribution in this event. We continue to enable life, we save life, we maintain and improve life, says John Stubbington, COO Healthcare Services.

The campaign was organised by Medicover Hospitals and supported by Cyberabad Police, Government of Telangana, and Society of Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC).
