SC&RA Recognizes Landstar and BCO Bruce Bryant for 2024 Tran …

The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) announced Landstar Transportation Logistics, Inc. as the winner of one of its 2024 Transportation Safety Awards, specifically the Transportation Fleet Mileage Category Award for having the lowest accident frequency in the Over 100 Million Miles category for 2024.
Additionally, Landstar independent BCO and Million Mile Safe Driver Bruce Bryant was named by the SC&RA one of five winners of the SC&RA 2024 Million Miler Safety Award.

Each year, the SC&RA selects professional drivers from SC&RA member companies to be awarded the Million Miler Safety Award. The SC&RA award recognizes drivers who have accumulated a minimum of one million consecutive miles of safe driving within the industry.

Bryant leased to Landstar in 1987 and was honored as a Landstar 1 Million Mile Safe Driver and Roadstar® recipient in 2001. He was also awarded a Gold Star of Quality in 2022 by Landstar for going above and beyond.

Bryant was nominated for the SC&RA award by Landstar's safety department. To be considered for nomination by Landstar, nominees must be an independent business capacity owner (BCO) who hauls heavy/specialized loads and has achieved one million safe miles while leased to Landstar.

The Landstar Roadstar® status is one of the highest levels of recognition a BCO can receive at Landstar. BCO is Landstar's term for the independent truck owner-operators who provide the company with transportation capacity under exclusive lease agreements.

SC&RA is an international trade association of more than 1,400 members from 46 nations. Each year firms across the United States and around the world submit entries to the SC&RA Award competition, which recognizes worldwide excellence in the crane, rigging and specialized transportation industry.
