posted in Chamber of Commerceon April 17, 2024

Waverly, IA - The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors recently held a ribbon cutting for a new business in Waverly while presenting them with a First Dollar Award, and presented an existing business with a Progress Award.

The Ambassadors presented Luana Harman, owner of Vintage Farmgirl, with a ribbon cutting and First Dollar Award to celebrate the opening of Vintage Farmgirls physical location at 98 E Bremer Ave. Harman has been refinishing furniture for her home for about 20 years and became invested in selling furniture in 2019. She loves to find solid older pieces of furniture that could use some refinishing and TLC. When the opportunity to own a business downtown became available, she was excited to have a place to work on furniture and other small projects. The goal for her business is to keep things out of the landfill and try to find a way to repurpose them in other homes. Along with selling refurbished furniture pieces, Vintage Farmgirl also offers a variety of products from several local artists, and has approximately 15 consigners that bring in beautiful vintage items. The Ambassadors also presented Jennifer Peters, clinic manager of Rock Valley Physical Therapy, with a Progress Award to celebrate their acquiring of Woltz Physical Therapy and continuing the businesses long standing membership with the Waverly Chamber of Commerce under the Rock Valley name. Rock Valley Physical Therapy has been serving the Waverly community for over 20 years and they are a patient-centered, therapist owned organization dedicated to improving the health of their patients and their community. Rock Valley Physical Therapy in Waverly has four physical therapists on staff who provide consistent, one-on-one care. What sets them apart from other clinics is that they strive to complete the entire course of care with one therapist. Rehabilitation services provided by Rock Valley Physical Therapy include sports/orthopedic injuries, work injuries, post-surgical care, pediatric injuries, dry needling, and more.
