New Commission: Call for Members

The city is now accepting applications to serve on the Parks, Green Spaces and Trails Commission, which the Mayor and Council added officially as a city board on March 1, 2021.

The Parks, Green Spaces and Trails Commission's primary purpose is to advise and provide recommendations to the city council regarding the best use, planning and development, maintenance and related projects for these spaces with the main objective of beautifying and preserving the city's natural resources through conservation measures.

The PGT consists of five (5) members appointed to serve four-year terms. A regularly scheduled meeting day and time has not been established as yet, though the commitment will be to meet once a month. A minimum of four members shall be citizens of the city.

If you are interested in having an active role in the beautification and preservation of natural resources in Norcross, please contact City Clerk, Monique Lang ([email protected]) to submit your application to serve. You can learn more, including meeting days, mission and list of other citizens serving on each board and commission on the city website under City Government tab.

Download the application here. Applications are due Tuesday, March 30th by 5 p.m.
