Minister Senzo Mchunu, Deputy Minister Dikeledi Magadzi and Deputy Minister David Mahlobo visit KwaZulu-Natal, 13 to 15 Oct

The Minister of Water and Sanitation, Mr. Senzo Mchunu, accompanied by Deputy Ministers Ms. Dikeledi Magadzi and Mr. David Mahlobo, will be visiting KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) province from Wednesday, 13 October 2021 to Friday, 15 October 2021 at the Olive Convention Centre, Durban.

The objective of the Ministerial visit is to assess the state of water projects in the province that are undertaken by the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS).

The Ministerial delegation will be meeting the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Premier Sihle Zikalala and the provincial executive to discuss and seek ways to address water security challenges in the province. The Ministry will also host meetings with the executives of Umgeni Water Board and Mhlathuze Water Board.

The Ministerial visit will also include meetings with the executives of the KwaZulu-Natal Water Services Authorities, South African Sugar Association, KwaZulu-Natal Agricultural Union, Water User Association in KwaZulu-Natal and the Community Water Forums.
