Former Kennesaw State defensive back has signed a professional contract with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. Farrow becomes the first Owl to sign in the CFL. , Allied Sports, as the Alouettes concluded their 2017 rookie camp. The team's training camp begins today with their preseason set for June 8 versus Toronto. 'I'm thrilled to see Derrick to sign with Montreal,' said head coach . 'He was an important part of the development of our program and had a great career in the two years he played for us. Derrick was a leader, and took care of his business in the classroom and on the field. I'm proud to see him sign a pro contract and I'm confident he will represent Kennesaw State well.' A two-time second-team All-Big South selection, Farrow started all 22 games he played as an Owl and totaled 110 career tackles, forced five fumbles and intercepted a pass in each season. Farrow transferred to Kennesaw State from East Central Community College where he was ranked as the No. 3 junior college safety in the country. The Cochran, Ga., native, who graduated from KSU this May, attended Bleckley County High School.
