Both Houses of National Assembly Held Extraordinary Session In the Presence of President Ghani

The extraordinary session of the both houses of the National Assembly was held in the presence of President Muhammad Ashraf Ghani, here at the Parliament on Monday.

The session were attended by Chairman of Wolesi Jirga( Lower House of Parliament), Mir Rahman Rahmani, Senate Speaker, Fazil Hadi Muslimyar, President's vices, Amrullah Saleh and Muhammad Sarwar Danish, Chief of High Council for National Reconciliation, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, President's Security Advisor, Hamdullah Moheb, members of supreme court, cabinet members, officials of the Independent Elections Commissions and Jihadi leaders.

The House Speaker by presenting of statement, welcomed President Ghani and other officials in today's extraordinary session and appreciated for holding of the session in accordance to the constitution article 107.

Overall, Rahmani in his speech called effective the public uprisings in support from system and the country's defensive and security forces in war on terrorism and appreciated standing of some people's representatives alongside the country's security forces.

He went on to say, the Afghan people suffers war since four decades and they are deserving of peace than the other nation, adding the Afghan people are the main victims of this war.

At the meantime, President Muhamamd Ashraf Ghani in his statement said, the aim of this summit is unite for survival.

President Ghani went on to say, now the time is for national debate, unite causes victory and survival of the system.

'Afghanistan has been openly invaded by aggressors and in accordance to the clear text of the Holy Quran, we should stand against them, said President Ghani'.

He went on to say, the war has been imposed on Afghan people and Taliban increased violence instead of peace.

President Ghani reiterated that the main problem started when the Afghan and International lessons of peace were not observed and instead of a national and realistic process, an accelerated import process took place of that, the mentioned process was based on crude hypotheses and basis of that was on pressures on the republic and destruction of democracy.

He went on to say, this process not only did not lead to peace, but the efforts were made to legitimize an aggressor and evil group.

At the meantime, President Ghani criticized on Taliban's activity, adding this group has become more cruel and mercenary than before.

Mr Ghani added that the Taliban had no will for peace and that the group was killing people in areas under their control and destroying public facilities

President Ghani meanwhile said, Taliban have seen the government's sincerity and honesty as a sign of weakness in the peace process and they have resorted to deception.

Overall, President Ghani in his statement called on the country's politicians for national consensus and definitive answer to the enemies of the Afghan people.

President Ghani meanwhile in his speech sent a clear message to the Taliban, he would either sit knee to knee at the negotiation table or break Taliban's knee on the battlefields.

President Ghani also asked Taliban to choice their way.

After President's speech a joint declaration of national assembly was issued about the today's summit.

There are five articles in this declaration that supports principles of the republican system, constitution, security forces, public uprisings forces, women rights, freedom of speech and other values of the last two decades, and called on international community to continue on their financial and political assistance with Afghan government.

Overall, the aforementioned declaration supports from meaningful and dignified peace and has called on Taliban to stop defaming Islam and orphaning the innocent children of the homeland and to return to the original logic of Islam, which is Peace.

The National Assembly's declaration was confirmed with majority votes.
