: Her Excellency Sowai Lyonpo Dasho Dechen Wangmo arrived in Thimphu, today, after visiting Lhingzhi Drungkhag from 5 October 2021. On 6 October, Lyonpo attended the Lingzhi Yugyal Dzong Sertog installation ceremony presided over by the venerable Lektshog Lopen Sangay Dorji. The Dzong restoration project was started in 2018 and is expected to be completed by 2023. The visit was also aligned with His Majesty's Kidu medical camp in Soe which was conducted from 2 to 4 October following four days in Lhingzhi from 7 to 10 October.

In the quest of reaching the unreached population, the camp screened approximately 98 percent of the total population in Soe and 97 percent of the population in Lingzhi.

The medical camp provided a comprehensive package of health services including endoscopy and ultrasound. The team includes a medical specialist, gynecologist, pediatrician, dentist, ENT, and surgeon.

And during the visit, Lyonpo also interacted with the communities, dzongkhag staff, local government leaders, teachers and students, and health staff.

While meeting with the public, Lyonpo emphasized His Majesty's visions and aspirations. "We are blessed to be guided by the wisdom and benevolence of His Majesty the King and now together we must fulfill our duty to the nation and our beloved king by working together to build back better for our future generation," Lyonpo said.

At the meeting with the school management, Lyonpo discussed the plan for school up-gradation and monitored the ongoing construction of the girls' hostel and upcoming new infrastructure within the school campus.

As part of the school health program, Lyonpo prepared and hosted dinner for the students and teachers of Lingzhi Primary School and interacted with them.

Lyonpo was accompanied by WHO Representative to Bhutan, Dr. Rui Paulo de Jesus, officials from the Ministry of Health and WHO country office.
