Once again, the City of Spokane Valley in partnership with the East Valley School District have teamed up to offer the free Summer Park and Meal Program starting Monday, June 2 through Thursday, August 11. Stop by any of these three parks listed below Mondays through Thursdays between 9 a.m. and Noon to participate!
Free activities include art projects, science experiments, daily games and more led by Spokane Valley Parks and Recreation staff. Free meals are provided for children 18 and under through the East Valley School District summer meal program.
Edgecliff Park
800 S. Park Road
No breakfast provided
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Valley Mission Park
11123 E. Mission Avenue
Breakfast: 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Terrace View Park
13525 E. 24thAve.
Breakfast: 9:15 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - Noon
Drop-in anytime as often as you like between designated hours. Parents and guardians should plan to stay at the park while young children are participating. Older children may attend on their own if parents/guardians deem it appropriate to attend. In addition to the free activities and lunch for youth, theSpokane County Library District (SCLD) will be providing "Library in the Park" to the Summer Park Program with entertainment kicking off each date at Noon.

Also, SCLD will be bringing "Storytime in the Park" for children ages 2-5 and their families to experience 30 minutes of stories, songs, and fingerplays that explore the concepts of literacy, and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) from 10:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. each event.
