New Household Hazardous Water Disposal Option

The League City Council recently approved a one year agreement with Keep Pearland Beautiful to provide League City residents with the ability to drop off qualified household hazardous waste and e-waste materials for FREE at the Stella Roberts Recycling Center (SRRC) located in Pearland.

Starting May 1, League City residents can make an appointment to drop off HHW at the facility(located at 5800 Magnolia Pkwy, Pearland, TX 77584)from Tuesday thru Saturday. Acceptable items include brake fluid, household chemicals and cleaners, paints, and stains (max of 25 cans), general chemical and adhesives, and lawn and pool chemicals.

In addition, as part of the City's contract with its trash provider, AmeriWaste, every year there is a built-in increase to the City's garbage rate based on the Consumer Price Index and fuel costs. Starting May 1, the City's garbage rate will increase from $18.45 to $19.66 per month (this includes sales tax). This rate change will not only maintain League City's current twice a week trash pickup and once a week recycling pickup, but it will also include the new household hazardous waste disposal service at the Stella Roberts facility.

Residents will see the garbage rate increase reflected in their June bills
