TFD Responds to Structure Fire

Today, Nov. 8, at 11:45 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) was dispatched to a report of a house fire in the 900 block of Mill Street. An abandoned house was reported to have smoke coming from the structure by a passerby. Upon arrival, TFD crews found heavy smoke and some fire showing from the attic on all sides. A defensive transitional attack followed by an offensive attack quickly knocked down the fire. The fire was under control within 10 minutes.

No injuries were reported. The structure was a total loss, and the cause is currently under investigation. TFD was assisted on scene by Tallahassee Police Department, City of Tallahassee Utilities and Leon County EMS.
