Appeal for information after assault - Thorpe-Le-Soken

We are appealing for information after an assault on a train in Thorpe-le-Soken in Essex.

Two men, who did not know each other, were drinking on the train and chatting to another passenger on the train who was travelling on her own.

An altercation between the two men then broke out and one of them became aggressive and pushed the other man.

When the train arrived at Thorpe-le-Soken, the offender pushed the other man out of the doors onto the platform.

The victim, a 43-year-old man, sustained facial injuries that required 15 stitches.

The incident happened on 24 November at around 11.45pm, on board the 10.25pm Stratford to Clacton train.

Officers would like to speak to the man shown in the CCTV image as he may have information which could help the investigation.
