Scouts of combined arms army of Western Military District learned to adjust artillery fire in Smolensk region

Reconnaissance units of Elninskaya motorized rifle division of the Western Military District, during the tests for assigning the honorary name Shock, adjusted artillery fire at the command posts of the mock enemy in the Smolensk region.

The scouts had to march at a distance of about 20 km. deep into the main forces of the mock enemy with the passage of a special strip, natural and artificial obstacles, as well as the development of standards for special training using technical means of reconnaissance and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Adjustment of Msta-SM2 self-propelled howitzers at ranges up to 10 km was carried out by means of communication KRUS Strelets. Orlan-10 UAV swere used to record hits and objective video control.

In total, over 500 servicemen of the Yelninskaya motorized rifle division of the combined arms army of the Western Military District, as well as over 20 units of combat and special military equipment, were involved in the exercise.
