European Athletics is pleased to announce that LIQUI MOLY will be an Official Partner for the Paris 2020 European Athletics Championships.
The German company specialises in motor oils, lubricants, additives and car care products, with its headquarters in Ulm. They join SPAR, Le Gruyère and Toyo Tires as top tier partners for the championships.
LIQUI MOLY will benefit from a comprehensive rights package leading up to and during the championships, which will be staged in the French capital between 25-30 August 2020.
The package includes LED adverting board visibility in and around the Charlety Stadium - which is expected to play host to an estimated 100,000 spectators during the five days of competition as well as competitors, officials, volunteers and media - branding on promotional material throughout the French capital, ticketing and VIP hospitality, and fan activation opportunities as well as other core marketing rights
The European Athletics Championships are one of the highlights of the international athletics calendar and the leading competition in European Athletics' event portfolio.
LIQUI MOLY Managing Director Ernst Prost said: 'This week in Paris is a great fit for our global brand awareness strategy. It helps to improve visibility beyond our traditional involvements in motor sports. We are proud to be part of the championships when Europe's best athletes meet.'
European Athletics President Svein Arne Hansen said, 'We are very pleased that LIQUI MOLY is again a partner with European Athletics after their involvement with the Amsterdam 2016 European Athletics Championships. We understand their market research showed that was a successful venture for them and it certainly was for us, and I expect it to be even more worthwhile for both parties this time around.
'Following on from our announcement in the last few days of extending our partnership with Toyo Tires, this shows that leading brands in Europe believe that our sport projects the qualities they want to be associated with and that they have confidence in European Athletics and its local organisers to deliver successful and innovative events that capture the imagination of the general public.'
