Boston Police Department Escorts 109-Year-Old to State House For the Anniversary Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide

The Boston Police Department was honored to be invited by a 109-year-old resident of the Armenian Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Jamaica Plain to escort her to the State House for the Anniversary Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide in 1915.

Mary Vartanian just recently celebrated her 109th birthday. She is an avid supporter of the Boston Police Department!

For her special trip to the State House, her only request was that the Boston Police were part of the big day. Our officers from District E-13 were more than happy to answer the call and were honored time with Mary!

An escort of officers and vehicles brought her safely to the event. Here is a look into how the day went!
