Bryn Mawr, Pa.-- Main Line Health announced today that Jonathan Stallkamp, MD has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for the health system, effective November 29, 2021. Dr. Stallkamp has been serving in the role on an interim basis since July 2020.

Dr. Stallkamp has been a member of the Main Line Health medical staff since 2005, when he joined the Lankenau Medical Center team as an academic hospitalist. During his 16 years at Main Line Health, he has practiced at all four Main Line Health acute care campuses and held a variety of clinical leadership positions. These include Director of the Academic Hospitalist program; Director for Hospital Medicine; Main Line HealthCare medical director; Vice President of Medical Affairs for Riddle Hospital; and Regional Vice President of Medical Affairs for Lankenau Medical Center and Bryn Mawr Hospital.

Most recently, Dr. Stallkamp helped lead Main Line Health's COVID-19 response, partnering closely with operational and medical leaders from across Main Line Health to develop and deploy a vaccine distribution strategy for employees, patients, and community members.

In his new role, Dr. Stallkamp will provide executive leadership and oversight of the Main Line Health medical staff. In partnership with his colleagues on the medical staff and senior leadership team, Dr. Stallkamp will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care consistent with mission and vision of Main Line Health.

Dr. Stallkamp brings nearly 20 years of clinical experience to his Chief Medical Officer role. Prior to his arrival at Main Line Health, he worked as an internist for the Indian Health Service in Bethel, Alaska and in private practice in Wayne, Pennsylvania. A graduate of Yale University and Jefferson Medical College, Dr. Stallkamp completed his residency in internal medicine at Northwestern in downtown Chicago. He is board certified in internal medicine, and his areas of clinical interest include physician leadership, hospitalist medicine, general internal medicine, informatics in medicine and quality improvement.
