DALLAS - In February 2021, the city of Dallas began development of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas (KBHCCD) Master Plan. The vision is to produce a master plan that transforms the KBHCCD into the #1 convention center and convention center urban district in the United States.

A virtual public open house will take place on Thursday, April 15 at 6 p.m. The city invites residents and stakeholders across Dallas to have a voice in the conversation and share their ideas and input for the development of the KBHCCD master plan. The public can register for the virtual event at bit.ly/kbhccd-meeting. Event flyer listed below.

The master plan will produce four studies: (1) Area Plan, (2) Transportation Study, (3) Multimodal Station Study and (4) Marketing and Funding Analysis. The implementation of the masterplan recommendations is projected to be a 10-year phased approach that will improve the area, facility and generate revenue for Dallas.

Project Website and Public Survey - After the April 15 virtual open house meeting, additional information about the KBHCCD master plan can be viewed and the public can participate in the project survey on the project website: www.dallasccmasterplan.com.

About the KBHCCD Master Plan
One of the top business and tourist markets in the U.S., the KBHCCD has hosted thousands of world-class speakers and events in the heart of downtown. With close proximity to major sporting event arenas and other thriving neighborhoods, the KBHCCD has the potential to drive development and engagement downtown. The Master Plan will transform the convention center district into a catalyst for growth in the region.
