The personnel of the special medical unit of the Black Sea Fleet, having made a march on standard equipment about 80 kilometers long from Sevastopol, arrived in Yalta city.
The arrived convoy includes over 100 servicemen and 25 units of special military equipment.
Currently, the servicemen have begun to deploy the hospital and install special equipment.
The mobile multidisciplinary hospital is a field medical unit based on pneumoframe structures and is intended for inpatient treatment of patients with a new coronavirus infection.
For carrying out medical and diagnostic measures, the hospital is equipped with artificial lung ventilation devices, intensive patient monitoring systems, x-ray machines, ultrasound machines, blood analyzers and a PCR laboratory.
In accordance with the instructions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the instructions of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, in order to provide medical assistance to residents of the Crimean peninsula with a confirmed diagnosis of a new coronavirus infection, two mobile hospitals of the Russian Ministry of Defence are being deployed in the republic.
Earlier, the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, requested the deployment of 200-bed hospitals in Yalta and Simferopol.
