Command flights took place in Southern MD air regiment in Volgograd region

In the Volgograd region, on the territory of the air regiment of the Air Force and Air Defence Formation of the Southern Military District (SMD), command training flights took place.

Su-24M crews practiced the main and most complex piloting elements, flights at extremely low altitudes, in difficult meteorological conditions during the day and at night, instrument landing, maneuvers to evade weapons.

The main feature of this type of flight training is that only the leadership of the aviation units is involved, which improves the methodology for performing flight tasks in order to further train young pilots.

Command flights are traditionally held several times a year and are aimed at improving the efficiency of organizing and ensuring flight safety, as well as performing flight tasks.
