Mar 29, 2024 Temporary partial closure of Camarillo Street

March 29, 2024 - From April 2 through April 26, ongoing work for the North Loop Infrastructure project now in Phase 4 will require Camarillo Street entering the campus (southbound) to be closed from the Carden driveway to the intersection of Rincon Drive. However, access into the Carden driveway will remain accessible throughout this phase.

The A1 and R parking lots near Placer Hall will also continue to be available from the south side of Camarillo Street and Rincon Drive. During construction hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Camarillo Street will be limited to vehicles exiting (northbound) the campus. It is recommended that you access the campus from either University Drive or Potrero Road. After construction hours Camarillo Street will be open in both directions.

As a reminder, it is recommended that pedestrians use the new sidewalk and crosswalk along Big Rock Park to the intersection of Santa Barbara Avenue and Camarillo Street. The sidewalk on the west side of Camarillo Street between the Carden driveway and the intersection of Rincon Drive is planned to be closed to pedestrians during construction of Phase 4.
