Harbin, Mudanjiang and Jiamusi are now connected into aHSR loop network, which marks that the HSR network is further improved in northeast China, making it more convenient and fast for people to travel.

Mudanjiang-Jiamusi HSR,located in eastern Heilongjiang,is the easternmost HSR in China at present. Itstarts from Mudanjiang City in the south and ends at Jiamusi City viaJixi City, Qitaihe City and Shuangyashan City, with a total length of 372 km and a design speed of 250 km/h. It has successfully completed a number of key critical works, such as the Super Major Bridge across Harbin-Tongjiang Expressway, Qixingfeng Tunnel with the largest length in Heilongjiang Province and Mashan Tunnel with high gas risk, which has guaranteedthe on-schedule completion of the HSR. There are 173 new bridges and 34 tunnelsalongthe line, with a length of 209km, taking up 56.3% of the total.

CHINA RAILWAY has strictly implemented various regulations and standards, carefully organized the integrated commissioning & test, inspection, acceptance and safety assessment on the equipment in various HSR disciplines, and comprehensively optimized and adjusted the track status, pantograph-catenary performance, train control, communication and signaling system, etc., guaranteeing the HSR is in line withthe requirements for safe and stable operationandready for commercial operation.

After Mudanjiang-Jiamusi HSR is put into operation, the railway sector will arrange 18 pairs of EMU trains with a highest operating speed up to250 km/h.

Mudanjiang-Jiamusi HSR forms the eastern Heilongjiang HSR loop network together with the existing Harbin-Mudanjiang HSR and Harbin-Jiamusi Railway, which further improves the rail network structure in northeast China, greatly facilitates the travel of local people, and is of great significance for promoting the transformation and upgrading of resource-based cities along the line, and facilitating the comprehensive and all-round revitalization of northeast China.
