City of Irvine to Hold General Plan Update Adoption Hearings

The City of Irvine 2045 General Plan Update is ready to be considered for adoption following extensive community conversations and engagement.

As part of the process to update its General Plan, a state-required document representing its vision for the next 25 years and beyond, the City of Irvine 2045 General Plan Update reflects community input and includes goals and policies to help the City reach its long-term vision of preserving and enhancing Irvine's high quality of life as the City matures.

Three public meetings and adoption hearings will be held throughout the spring and summer for City of Irvine commissions and the Irvine City Council to receive presentations and hear public input on the 2045 General Plan Update. The public meetings and adoption hearings will take place during the following City of Irvine meetings:

  • Planning Commission
    • Public Meeting
      Thursday, May 2, 5:30 p.m.

    • Tentative Public Hearing
      Thursday, May 16, 5:30 p.m.
      1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine
      Council Chamber
  • Irvine City Council
    • Summer 2024
