Dear Sitnasuak Shareholders,
There is an opportunity for Shareholders to serve on the Sitnasuak Board of Directors. Interested Shareholders that can serve as a director to fill this vacancy on the Board are requested to submit a letter of interest and a candidate questionnaire on or before 4:30 PM on March 26, 2018. The candidate questionnaire is available online at https://snc.org/sites/default/files/forms/letter_board_vacancy_notice_to...
As background, Director Neal Foster notified the Board that he has resigned and the full board has acted on the process to fill the vacancy on March 8, 2018. According to Director Foster, 'I am sad to say that I must resign from the Sitnasuak Board of Directors. My duties in the Alaska State Legislature and particularly as Co-Chair of the Alaska House Finance Committee require my full focus and attention. I started working for Sitnasuak 20-years ago and I've served on the Board for the past 14-years. Sitnasuak has given me a great deal of opportunities to grow professionally. And more importantly I've had the opportunity to work with some wonderful people. I wish the Board and Corporation the best of wishes in its important efforts to benefit our Shareholders and communities.'
In accordance with state law and the Sitnasuak Native Corporation Bylaws, the Board may fill board vacancies by selecting eligible Shareholders to serve the remainder of the term. Director Foster's term in office will expire in 2018 or when a successor is elected and qualified.
Shareholders who are 19 years of age or older are invited to submit a letter of intent and candidate questionnaire to serve. The letter and application are due on or before March 26, 2018 at 4:30PM. Please hand deliver or send information to:
