Gun Arrests

(Peoria, IL) - Wednesday, January 26, 2022, members of the Peoria Police Department's Special Investigations Division (SID) were conducting surveillance of a residence after viewing several

social media posts of subjects displaying handguns. One of the subjects was also wanted for previous Peoria Police cases.

At 8:30 p.m. officers observed the subjects leaving the residence and enter a vehicle. The vehicle was followed and then located parked in front of a local business. SID officers entered the business

and detained all four subjects and seized a total of three handguns.

The guns recovered were two Glock handguns with fully loaded 30 round magazines and a round in the chamber, and one

Springfield handgun (Stolen Firearm) with 15 rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber. Officers also seized 20 controlled substance pills.

The individuals arrested were:

20-year-old Stevie A. Linwood III for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a handgun under 21, No F.O.I.D., Possession of a Firearm by a Gang Member, and Escape.

19-year-old Dayvell A. Faulkner for Aggravated Unlawful use of a Weapon, Possession of a handgun under 21, No F.O.I.D., Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Obstructing Justice.

20-year-old Akyran D. Dennis for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a handgun under 21, No F.O.I.D., Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Obstructing

Identification.

18-year-old El Fuego T. Brown for Armed Robbery in connection with PPD case #21-20725 and Obstructing Police in connection to PPD case #21-23780.

All four subjects were transported to the Peoria County Jail.

"As I have stated before, we will not tolerate violence in our community. This is just another example of the Peoria Police Departments promise to safeguard our community and arrest those that intend to commit crimes in our city," says Peoria Police Chief Eric Echevarria.
