Plattsburgh male arrested for menacing 2nd and CPW 3rd

On April 23, 2024, State Police members arrested Michael Schultz, age 51, of Plattsburgh, NY for menacing 2nd and criminal possession of a weapon 3rd.

On April 23, 2024, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Troopers responded to Cornelia Street, in the town of Plattsburgh for an assault complaint. An investigation determined Schultz and the victim were having a verbal altercation, and the victim was asking Schultz to leave but he was refusing. At this time Schultz picked up a machete, and pointed it at the victim, making threatening remarks. The victim left the area to contact law enforcement for assistance.

Schultz was arrested and transported to SP Plattsburgh for processing. He was arraigned in the Town of Plattsburgh Court where he was remanded to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond.
