The legislation, S-244 and A-790, is entitled the 'Combat to College Act.'

'Granting priority course registration to our veterans at state colleges and universities is appropriate when considering the sacrifices these individuals have and continue to make in the course of their service to our country. The 'Combat to College Act' is a component of the continuing policy commitment to improve veterans' access to higher education opportunities.

'Veterans deserve to be moved to the front of the line. Moreover, this status would be most beneficial to active service members in planning their class schedules around their service obligations.'

Members of the 9th district delegation serve on the Senate and Assembly Military and Veterans Affairs committees to more effectively represent their constituency, a large segment of which is comprised of veterans and their families.
