ABSENTEE VOTING

In-Person Absentee voting begins at the Auditor's Office on Wednesday, May 18th and ends Monday, June 6th at 5:00 PM. Normal business hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Absentee voting by mail begins May 18th and the last day to request an absentee ballot to be mailed is Monday, May 23rd at 5:00 pm. The request form MUST be received by the Auditor's office by 5:00 pm. Any request for a ballot to be mailed after this deadline will not be mailed.

PUBLIC TEST OF VOTING EQUIPMENT

Public testing of the Des Moines County voting equipment will begin on June 1st at 9:00 AM in the Public Meeting Room on the 2nd Floor at the Des Moines County Courthouse, according to the provisions of 52.35. The public is invited to attend.

POST-ELECTION AUDIT

The Post-Election Audit will be held on Thursday, June 16th at 10:00 AM in the Public Meeting Room on the 2nd Floor at the Des Moines County Courthouse, according to the provisions of Iowa Code 50.51. The Secretary of State's Office will notify the County Auditor on Wednesday, June 8th regarding which precinct will be audited.
