Celebrate Greeley’s History: Historic Preservation Month 2024

GREELEY, Colo. - May is Historic Preservation Month! The Greeley Historic Preservation Commission invites everyone to celebrate historic preservation in Greeley. Here's what's in store:

• Award Ceremony and Trivia Night: On Wednesday, May 8, at 5:30 p.m. head to Syntax Distillery at 700 6^th Street. Help the city recognize the winners of the Historic Preservation Month Awards. Test your knowledge of Greeley history in a game of trivia while enjoying light refreshments. Syntax beverages are available for purchase.
• History Presentation: On Thursday, May 16, at noon, stop by the Greeley History Museum, 714 8^th Street. Dr. Maria Delgado will talk about Colorado State University's Architectural Virtual Library, an online historic building documentation project.
• Share Your Stories: In May, the city will gather stories about the Warnoco property, formerly Warnoco Park and now the Boys and Girls Club of Weld County Teen Center. Have a story or memory to share? Visit Greeley's public engagement webpage at www.speakupgreeley.com.

These events are free and open to the public. No reservations are needed.
