Groth voted to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

2019-20 CoSIDA Academic All-District NCAA DII Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Team
KUTZTOWN, Pa.
- Senior sprinter of the Kutztown University women's track & field team represented KU on the Academic All-District Track & Field/Cross Country Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), announced Friday. Groth is now eligible for Academic All-America honors. First, Second and Third Team Academic All-Americans will be announced from June 22-25. It is her second Academic All-District recognition, also earning the honor last year. The All-District team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. In the indoor season this year, Groth ran season-best times in the 55m (7.37) and 200m (26.07) at the Kutztown Last Chance Qualifying meet on Feb. 21, and had a season-best in the 60m (7.86) at the Lehigh Fast Times Before Finals meet on Dec. 6. Groth graduated this month with a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a 3.83 GPA. She will be on campus for the next year to earn her reading specialist certificate, after being accepted into the graduate reading program at KU.
