Virginia ABC Moving Hampton Enforcement Office to Newport News

The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (ABC) is moving its region seven Bureau of Law Enforcement office at 4907 W. Mercury Blvd. in Hampton to 9317 Warwick Blvd. in Newport News. This office provides guidance to the region's licensees and license applicants regarding Virginia's alcohol laws and regulations. The region includes Hampton, Newport News, Franklin, Poquoson, Suffolk and Williamsburg, and the counties of Gloucester, Isle of Wight, James City, Mathews, Middlesex, Southampton, Surry, Sussex and York.

The enforcement office in Hampton will close for in-person visits on Friday, December 10 at 5 p.m. and will reopen at the new location in Newport News on Monday, December 13 at 8:15 a.m. During the transition, ABC special agents and staff will continue to provide support to licensees and answer questions. Licensees are encouraged to reach out to their special agent directly by phone or email or call the region seven office, which will continue to take calls at (757) 825-7830.

Residents can apply for one-day banquet and special event licenses online, and businesses can download a retail license application at www.abc.virginia.gov.

The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (ABC) is a major source of revenue for the commonwealth, contributing more than $2.6 billion to the general fund in the last five years.
