Husson University Announces Class of 2024 Valedictorians and Salutatorian

Husson University is proud to announce its valedictorians and salutatorian for the 2024 graduating class, all of whom have demonstrated exceptional academic prowess during their educational careers.

Husson University will hold its 125th Commencement Ceremony on May 4, 2024, at 10:30am at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine.

This year's slate of valedictorians have all achieved 4.0 grade point averages and represent a variety of Husson's academic majors.

Valedictorians:

  • David James Bubar of Bangor - BS Video/Film Production; Certificate in Digital and Social Media Marketing and Certificate in Web Media
  • Anna Elizabeth Coleman of Swanville - BS English
  • MacKenzie L. Dore of Holden - BS Criminal Justice with a focus in National/Corporate Security; MS Criminal Justice
  • Molly Eesa Dutil of Augusta - BS Health Sciences
  • Andrew C. Green of Bangor - BS Accounting; Master of Business Administration

Salutatorian:

  • Emily E. Doten of Baring - BS Health Sciences

Husson's commencement will be an exciting day for the university as it recognizes 699 graduating students who are earning a total of 757 credentials including bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees.

"We are immensely proud of our 125th graduating class and their remarkable accomplishments while students at Husson University," said President Robert A. Clark. "Their achievements are a testament to their unwavering determination and the exceptional education they have received at Husson. We are confident that they will go on to make a positive impact in their respective fields and communities."

Retired United States Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills will deliver the commencement address at the ceremony. Mills is a motivational speaker, actor, author and an advocate for veterans and amputees. He is also one of only five quadruple amputees from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He and his wife Kelsey founded the Travis Mills Foundation, a nonprofit organization that benefits and assists post-9/11 veterans who have been injured in active duty or as a result of their service to our nation.

Husson University will also hold a graduate hooding ceremony for those receiving their master's and doctoral degrees on Friday, May 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the Newman Gymnasium on the Bangor campus.
