Reports of Unauthorized Signature Gatherers

The City has received several reports from residents of signature gatherers going door-to-door in local neighborhoods, with some residents reporting that signature gathers have represented themselves as being affiliated with the City. Please be advised that any such individuals are not associated or affiliated with the City in any way, and instead are gathering signatures for either a referendum against the recently-approved Hilton Home2Suites hotel project to be built at 7860 Beach Boulevard, or an initiative petition for a local hotel worker minimum wage and protection ordinance.

The City has also received reports of signature gathers providing misinformation about the Hilton Home2Suites project. You can find the approved project plans here on the City's website.
