New Poll: Public Fed Up with House Republicans Ignoring the Middle Class to Help the Super Wealthy

Navigator Research : Democrats are more trusted than Republicans to defend abortion rights, make health care and prescription drugs more affordable, and protect consumers

New polling reveals that, across the country, 55% of Americans in swing districts believe House Republicans are more focused on protecting the wealthy and corporations, ignoring the needs of middle-class and working families.

The polling represents the latest sign that voters are tired of the dysfunction and extremism that has defined the House Republican majority. In the survey, which was conducted across 61 congressional districts that will determine the House majority, 59% of respondents said that Republicans have prioritized the wrong things.

Additionally, by significant margins, Democrats are more trusted by the public to protect abortion rights, protecting consumers and addressing pocketbook issues such as making health care and prescription drugs more affordable.

DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
"Families across the country are tired of the do-nothing Republican majority that ignores kitchen table issues in pursuit of an extreme agenda that seeks only to enrich the ultra wealthy and well-connected. Voters want leaders that will lower costs and protect their rights - and it's clear Republicans aren't up to the job."
