NEW YORK - Feb. 11, 2019 - Rick McCabe has been named Vice President, Corporate Communications, CBS Corporation, it was announced today by Kelli Raftery, Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications, to whom he will report.
In his new role, McCabe will manage media relations for the CBS Corporate Communications Department, covering a wide range of Company initiatives and activities in Sales, Research, Affiliate Relations, Carriage Agreements, Governmental Affairs, and Program Practices, among others.
McCabe is an experienced media and brand public relations executive who has held leadership roles across digital and traditional media, sports & entertainment, executive/talent communications and news. Most recently he worked as an independent public relations advisor to digital media companies. Before that, he held senior roles on key global accounts at agencies including Ketchum, PMK-BNC and Edelman's sports & entertainment practice.
Prior to that, McCabe served in various media relations positions at Sports Illustrated, including his role as Senior Director of Communications and primary spokesman for the SI franchise and its properties - Sports Illustrated, SI.com, GOLF magazine, GOLF.com, Sports Illustrated Kids and SIKids.com.
McCabe, who attended Fordham University, lives in Rye, N.Y. with his wife, Beth, and their two sons.
