Minister of Justice participates in an international conference in Šibenik

Minister of Justice Marko Kovač took part in the international conference "A Culture of Integrity - Strengthening the Prevention of Corruption" in Šibenik, at the invitation of the Minister of Justice and Administration of the Republic of Croatia Ivan Malenica.

Kovač informed the conference participants that Montenegro had prepared the Law on Amendments to the Law on Confiscation of Proceeds of Crime with the aim of preventing the acquisition and use of property of illegal origin, in order to protect legally acquired property.

At the end of his presentation, Kovač emphasised the need to strengthen trust in the work of public administration, as well as increase the transparency of the work of local self-governments.

The Conference gathered ministers of justice from six Southeast European countries, senior officials from the judiciary and public administration fields, as well as heads of anti-corruption authorities and high representatives of international and regional civil society organisations and academia engaged on the issue of corruption and strengthening of integrity in the public sector.
