SPRC hold the activity of 2021 Rayong International Coastal Conservation (ICC) Day

Star Petroleum Refining Public Company Limited (SPRC) held the activity of "2021 Rayong International Coastal Conservation (ICC) Day" jointly with the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR), Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), and the Rayong industrial entrepreneurs, under a campaign "#PullingOurWeight saves the world". This campaign promoted the collection of waste contaminated in natural water resources along with supporting the sorting of household waste so that they can be reused or returned to the recycled process according to the circular economy principle to prevent the amount of waste out into the environment.


Due to the situation of COVID-19 outbreak, SPRC takes safety as a priority. Therefore, the activity was held in the form of inviting SPRC family members to separating wastes by categorizing into plastic, glass, paper, steel/aluminum, and other general waste, from houses, community area, beach, along river/canals near home during 8-18 September 2021. SPRC family members engaged was able to collect more than 8,700 pieces of trash.

This event is a part of creating awareness of waste separation and realizing the impact of amount of waste that may affect people in the community as well as cultivating social and environmental responsibility which is also a part of the sustainable development.​
