Schuylerville woman facing felony charges after accident

On August 12, 2019, State Police in Greenwich arrested 28-year-old Elizabeth M. Lafranca of Schuylerville, for Felony Driving While Intoxicated and Felony Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.

Shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Monday, State Police responded to a car into a tree on County Route 113 in the town of Easton. After the driver, Elizabeth Lafranca was evaluated by EMS, she was interviewed by a patrol. The Trooper could smell the odor of alcohol coming from her person, and observed signs indicative of intoxication. Lafranca was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which she failed, and was taken into custody. She was transported to SP Greenwich for processing and provided a breath sample of .12% B.A.C. Lafranca was also evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert, and it was determined that she was also under the influence of drugs.

Lafranca was transported to Washington County Jail to await arraignment. She is due in Easton Town Court on September 11, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.
