AT&T Supports Advancing Equal Justice Reforms

The killing of George Floyd and countless others, demonstrates the continued injustices experienced by Black Americans. Their deaths underscore the history of violence and systemic racism Black people still face.

We at AT&T stand firm for equality and remain committed to doing our part to advance racial equity and justice for all.

Since the 1960s, our company has been at the forefront of civil rights advocacy and the fight for equality. And today, we continue to work with civil rights organizations, law enforcement, elected officials and businesses on the local, state and federal levels to address injustices.

We have a long history of supporting the Black community and we furthered that legacy through our work with the Business Roundtable (BRT), alongside our $10 million investment in Black and underserved communities. We also spent $3.1 billion with Black-owned suppliers, surpassing a $3 billion two-year commitment to drive diversity and inclusion across our business and communities where we live and work.

We will continue to support and protect the rights of the Black community, including our employees and customers because our society doesn't work if it doesn't work equally for all.

AT&T's full statement on the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act:

With passage of Justice in Policing Act by the U.S. House of Representatives, we urge congressional leaders to come together on these critical issues and pass bipartisan legislation this year. We support and will continue to advocate for solutions to ensure transparency, accountability and equal justice for all Americans. We look forward to working with Congress and others to build bipartisan consensus, advance reform and bring our communities together.
