According to the Government Decree of the Republic of Tajikistan dated March 28, 2024, #190 "On amendments and additions to the Government Decree of the Republic of Tajikistan dated October 26, 2021, #464", 25 new countries have been added to the list whose citizens can enter the Republic of Tajikistan under the unilateral visa-free regime for up to 30 days.

The list includes:

  1. Principality of Andorra
  2. Bahamas
  3. Bosnia and Herzegovina
  4. Federative Republic of Brazil
  5. Republic of Bulgaria
  6. Republic of Costa Rica
  7. Republic of Cyprus
  8. Ireland
  9. Republic of Malta
  10. Republic of the Marshall Islands
  11. United Mexican States
  12. Mongolia
  13. Montenegro
  14. Sultanate of Oman
  15. Romania
  16. Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis
  17. Saint Lucia
  18. Republic of San Marino
  19. Republic of Serbia
  20. Slovak Republic
  21. Republic of Slovenia
  22. Solomon Islands
  23. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
  24. Vatican
  25. State of Palestine (only for diplomatic, service/special passports).

In accordance with a new Government decision, a list of 16 foreign countries has been approved whose citizens aged 55 and over can now utilize a unilateral visa-free regime for entry into the Republic of Tajikistan. This regime allows them to stay in and depart from the country without a visa for up to 14 days.

The list includes:

  1. Republic of Albania
  2. People's Democratic Republic of Algeria
  3. Barbados
  4. Republic of Vanuatu
  5. People's Republic of China
  6. Commonwealth of Dominica
  7. Republic of Fiji
  8. Lao People's Democratic Republic
  9. Lebanese Republic
  10. Republic of Madagascar
  11. Kingdom of Morocco
  12. Republic of North Macedonia
  13. Republic of Nicaragua
  14. Republic of Panama
  15. Tunisian Republic
  16. Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

According to the Government Decree of the Republic of Tajikistan dated March 28, 2024, #188 "On amendments to the resolution dated January 25, 2017, #31", 14 countries have been included in the list whose citizens can obtain visas to the Republic of Tajikistan through a simplified procedure.

The list includes:

  1. Republic of the Marshall Islands
  2. Solomon Islands
  3. Republic of Vanuatu
  4. Republic of Sudan
  5. Republic of Madagascar
  6. State of Palestine
  7. Republic of Haiti
  8. Republic of Uganda
  9. Syrian Arab Republic (diplomatic visas category "D", service visas category "X", and business visas category "K")
  10. Republic of Iraq (diplomatic visas category "D", service visas category "X", and business visas category "K")
  11. Federal Republic of Nigeria (diplomatic visas category "D", service visas category "X", and business visas category "K")
  12. Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (diplomatic visas category "D", service visas category "X", and business visas category "K")
  13. Republic of Rwanda (diplomatic visas category "D", service visas category "X", and business visas category "K")
  14. Republic of Congo (diplomatic visas category "D", service visas category "X", and business visas category "K").

This measure will take effect from May 1, 2024.

It is important to note that citizens from the listed countries, entering the Republic of Tajikistan for periods longer than 14 or 30 days for purposes such as work, study, permanent residency, or other non-touristic reasons, must obtain the appropriate visa in advance.
