The President sent a telegram to his Egyptian counterpart condemning the terrorist attack on the Egyptian army in Seena.

​President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, sent a cable to Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, condemning the terrorist attack on the Egyptian army position in the western Seena region.

Text:

"I followed with astonishment the details of the terrorist attack that targeted the western Seena region and resulted in martyrs and wounded in the Egyptian army.

I strongly condemn this deplorable attack, which harms the security of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the stability of its brotherly people, and express to you the solidarity of Lebanon, President and people, with you in this ordeal.

I also offer my deepest condolences, asking for mercy on the martyrs souls and patience and consolation for their families.

I am confident that Egypt will overcome this aggression and come out of it strong due to your wise leadership and the cohesion of your brotherly people".​
