Minister Tajani’s participation in the Conference of Scientific and Space Attachés and Agricultural Experts 2024

The Conference of Scientific and Space Attachés and Agricultural Experts 2024 continues at the Castello del Valentino in Turin under the title "L'Italia tecnologica motore dell'internazionalizzazione" (Italy's Technology as a Driving Force for Internationalisation), scheduled for 21, 22 and 23 April.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, said: "Scientific Diplomacy is an extraordinary tool for supporting the country's growth, strengthening its competitiveness, and promoting an image of innovative Italy". He highlighted the role played by the network of 53 scientific and space attachés and 8 agricultural experts as a tool for promoting Italy abroad.

The Conference envisages an institutional session open to the press on 23 April at 11. 30 a.m., which will be attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani; the Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini; the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida; the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin; the Undersecretary of State for Enterprises and Made in Italy; Fausta Bergamotto, the President of the Piedmont Region, Alberto Cirio; the Mayor of Turin, Stefano Lo Russo and the Rector of the Polytechnic of Turin, Stefano Paolo Corgnati.

There will also be a full programme of meetings, spread over the three days, on strategic themes and sectors for Italy's competitiveness, namely artificial intelligence, aerospace, technology transfer, innovation and start-ups, and technologies applied to agriculture. The aim of the event is to provide an opportunity for an exchange of views between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the network of Attachés and Experts working at Italian Embassies abroad, and the main Italian science, research and innovation organisations.
