Clear Sky contest openning ceremony at Azov Sea

In the Southern Military District, on the basis of the Training Centre for Military Air Defence of the Land Forces, in preparation for the International Army Games 2020, the All-Army Clear Sky 2020 competition was opened.

Competitions among units of Igla portable anti-aircraft missile systems on armored personnel carriers APC-82A will be held at the Yeisk training ground in the Krasnodar Territory from July 5 to 11.

In total, the competition will be attended by more than 200 servicemen consisting of 8 teams from military districts, Airborne Forces, Northern Fleet coastal troops, as well as from the Military Academy of Air Defence of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Teams from seven countries completed the MANPAD firing from a position and while moving at targets imitating a helicopter and high-speed targets.

The team that showed the best result will represent the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation at the Clear Sky International Competition, which is scheduled to be held in September this year.
