The Shippensburg University wrestling team won seven of the nine contested bouts on Wednesday night, scoring bonus points in six, to dispatch NCAA Division III opponent Waynesburg, 35-12, in a dual meet from Heiges Field House.
Sophomore used three four-point near falls and a couple of takedowns at 133 pounds to achieve a 17-2 technical fall in the second period. It was one of two technical falls on the night for the Raiders, as redshirt-sophomore achieved a 17-0 result at 197 pounds on the strength of three four-point near falls, a two-point near fall, a takedown and an escape.
SU also got three first-period pins on the night. Sophomore won in 1:27 at 141, redshirt-junior worked a headlock in 1:02 and sophomore notched his third pin of the young season at 174 in 1:25.

The Raiders yielded a forfeit at 125 pounds and lost decisions at 165 pounds and 184 pounds, but otherwise made mostly quick work of Waynesburg. Wednesday's dual meet lasted 58 minutes.
